I am so delighted. I have just added two new members to la familia of my sewing machines. I found these two things of beauty on Gum Tree for a bargain last week and I just thought, they were meant to be mine!
Check out my little Singer Circa 1937, which from quick googling around, is a model made in 1950′s. It is missing the right power cord, so I can’t test if it is still working. All the components are solid and moving smoothly. All the parts are clean and look like they would work if I could just plug it in. So if anyone has any lead on where I can get parts for this little beauty I will appreciate it muchly. Don’t you think she is beautiful?
Another family member I have recently adopted is this industrial Juki DDL 545! I have never owned an industrial sewing machine before and when I sew her, it was love at first sight! I just had to have her! A lady in Frankston wanted to sell this simple but awesome machine because she’s downsizing. She works a magic and I am so excited and can’t wait to make something with her! I can now finally sew some leather and heavy material!
I am looking for a manual for Juki DDL 545, which is an old model of an industrial plain sewer. I can’t seem to find it anywhere so if anyone has any lead, I would really appreciate it. I only found a manual for Juki DDL 555, and I am not sure if it is similar enough.
Have a great weekend guys.
